In spring, summer, and fall they enjoy fresh natural pasture. During the winter months, we plant high-quality seasonal grasses and supplement with hay to keep them well-fed. Our primary breeding bull is a purebred Black Angus, known for producing high-quality beef. We also maintain several heritage breeds, including Florida Cracker cattle and Corrientes, as part of our commitment to preserving cattle that are well adapted to our local environment. These hormones are sometimes used in conventional beef production to increase weight gain, but we choose not to use them. That may mean a few fewer pounds in the freezer, but it ensures your beef is raised naturally. From each animal, you can expect approximately 300-400 lbs of finished, packaged beef per animal. This means you take home roughly 175 lb for a half-cow or 90 lb for a quarter cow. Our pricing is based on the final packaged weight (not hanging weight) so you’re paying only for what you receive. There are no additional processing or packaging fees. All processing is done at USDA-inspected facilities.
