Know where your food comes from

Raised on open pasture right here at Three Oak Farm. Our cattle eat grass their entire lives—no grain, no feedlots, and no added hormones.

Curious to know more? We're an open book. Read on for our practices, process, and pricing.

Pasture year-round

Our cattle graze pasture year-round through Florida’s long growing seasons. In spring, summer, and fall they enjoy fresh natural pasture. During the winter months, we plant high-quality seasonal grasses and supplement with hay and protein to keep them well-fed.

And every now and then, they enjoy a fun treat—like watermelon or pumpkin.

Breeds

Our herd is a diverse mix of Angus, Brahman, Hereford, and carefully selected crosses. Our primary breeding bull is a purebred Black Angus, known for producing high-quality beef.

We also maintain several heritage breeds, including Florida Cracker cattle and Corrientes, as part of our commitment to preserving cattle that are well adapted to our local environment.

By selecting breeds that thrive in Florida’s climate, we raise cattle that are healthy, resilient, and produce excellent beef.

All natural

Our beef cattle are raised without artificial growth hormones. These hormones are sometimes used in conventional beef production to increase weight gain, but we choose not to use them. That may mean a few fewer pounds in the freezer, but it ensures your beef is raised naturally.

Similarly, we also do not use antibiotics in feeds or in routine care.

Our beef share practices

We process our cattle before they reach two years of age to achieve the best balance of size and quality. At that stage, you can expect approximately 350–500 lbs of finished, packaged beef per animal.

Our pricing is based on the final packaged weight—not hanging weight—so you’re paying only for what you receive. There are no additional processing or packaging fees.

All processing is done at USDA-inspected facilities. We’ll work with you to customize your cuts, packaging preferences, and coordinate pickup or delivery to make the process as smooth as possible.
